JEJAWI (Ficus microcarpa), also referred to as the Malayan Banyan, is an evergreen tree characterized by a dense, wide-spreading crown. Reaching heights of up to 25 meters, this tree produces many slender aerial roots from its branches. Initially beginning as an epiphyte on a tree branch, it later extends aerial roots to the ground, enhancing its growth by accessing additional nutrients.

JEJAWI is often planted as a pioneer species in reforestation projects in South East Asia.
